Description This is a well known view of the castle that is often used in pictures and movies. It is the walkway between the Ro-no-mon Gate and Ha-no-mon Gate. It is deceptive in that you appear to be very close to the donjon but it is actually farther away than you think with two more gates to go through. You can also see in the tree on the left that the sakura (cherry blossoms) are just starting to bud. This spot must be very nice in full bloom.
