| Description | These are the remnants of a masugata style gate. You can see how the 2 entranceways to this box shape are at right angles and the gate is surrounded by a moat. This is soon after the bridge and moat in the previous pictures so it would have been very difficult for any attackers to breach that gate, then this, before entering the main part of the castle. |
