Onsenji temple's main hall was formerly a building housing a Noh stage built at the castle by 8th generation castle lord, Suwa Tadamichi. One can see where extra facades have been built where formerly they would've been open to allow the audience to see the performance canopied under the large projecting gable. +

Hitsujisaru Yagura. The 2 yagura at Akashi Castle, Hitsujisaru Yagura and Tatsumi Yagura, look almost the same except for one major difference that you might not spot at first. This one has a chidorihafu gable on the first level and a karahafu gable on the second. The Tatsumi Yagura has karahafu on the bottom and chidorihafu in the middle. The Hitsujisaru Yagura was actually move here from Fushimi Castle. +

This is the original Kuromon Gate. It was the Otemon Gate of Akizuki Castle but was moved to the Suiyo Shrine when the castle was dismantled. Before that it was used as the Karamaetemon gate of the original mountaintop castle. +
