History
Tokushige-yashiki was built by the Tokushige Chōsha, who may have been a wealthy landowner, village headman, or even just the head of a local clan. Was he displaced when the Oyamada moved into the area? Not much is known about the history of the site, but the residence is said to have contained stables and a shrine to Shōtoku-taishi.
Visit Notes
This obscure medieval residence site, Tokushige-yashiki, in downtown Tsuru is now unrecognisable; the site is now a hotel and spa near to Tsuru-shi Station, and no ruins remain.
