Imai Yashiki (Kai)
From Jcastle.info
History
Imai-yashiki was the fortified residence of the Fuchū-Imai Clan in the 15th century. The Imai Clan was founded by Imai Nobukage, the son of Takeda Nobumitsu, governor of Kai. Imai Nobufusa served Takeda Nobutora but was killed in fighting with the Ôi Clan. The Imai-yashiki is thought to have been surrounded by moats of about 60m in length in square formation.
Visit Notes
No ruins remain of Imai-yashiki, a medieval residence site, and the site is now fields. Apparently up until relatively recently a segment of a moat was preserved but now it's gone, and I noticed there are some suspiciously new looking houses surrounding the site...
